We’re a family farm on Machias River Farm Road in Machiasport, raising ADGA-registered French & American Alpine goats and registered Berkshire & Duroc pigs. Every jar of yogurt, bottle of kefir and length of salami is made from animals we raise ourselves: no antibiotics, no added hormones, no shortcuts.
Slow dry-cured pepperoni from our heritage-breed pork.
Our story
Named for the river. Run by a family.
Machias River Farms sits on the road that shares its name, where spruce woods open onto pasture and the pond glows pink at dusk. We blend time-honored husbandry with a modern small-batch creamery.
ADGA-registered and raised right here on the farm. Happy goats make great milk. It’s rich in A2 beta casein protein, and it becomes our kefir and thick Greek-style yogurt.
The pigs
Berkshire & Duroc Heritage Pigs
Registered heritage breeds with access to pasture year-round, raised with no antibiotics and no added hormones. They become our slow dry-cured pepperoni.
